This book points out interesting facts and background about both the natural and man-made things you encounter. I had no idea where this author was headed when he jumped from a murder scene to picking up a cadaver in a nursing home where he met up with a resident who happened to be an older lady acquaintance. this is much more than a broad survey of a famous company history laced with many fancy illustrations of old publicity material. Another factor that probably contributed to my not rating Projection higher was that I allowed too much time to go by from when I read Denial. This is the worst written book I've read in a long time. The author's personal history is very compelling and adds to the easy readability of this terrific book. She is an educated in social science and has done the field work in her own personal life. The book is aptly titled - these short "chapters" fit perfectly into a 5 minute attention span. I love street photography and NYC and these just were not good or moving. He admits that sometimes, in crisis, we act on a "higher, genuine, moral level" but most of the time, the best we can do is merely acting our of reasonably good habits we've acquired from our culture, and just as often (perhaps more) we act in downright evil ways.

At a later date she was sold to another Lisbon ship owner named Da Silva who changed her name to Maria di Amparo, but in 1923 Captan Wilfred Dowman bought the ship for Britain and gave her the name of Cutty Sark. In the year of 1916 when sailing under the Portuguese as Ferreira, the ship was severely undermanned for a so called short sea passage from Mozambique and around the Cape of Good Hope to Mossamedes. On that passage, Ferreira hit some heavy weather off the Eastern Cape: as a consequence her master was compelled to cut his masts away.As well as a number of other incidents regarding the ship under her three different names, the saga of Ferreira's part dismasting has been made one of the main themes of this ebook.
